What a better way of starting the year than talking of books, particularly of those endless best-of lists published everywhere when the year comes to an end/starts afresh. I was extremelly glad to see that against all odds the Nigerian young author Chimamanda Adichie’s last novel, Americanah has been given the first place in the well-coveted New York Times’ 10 Best Books list.
